Not everyone supported the plan to bus students in order to integrate schools. As these documents attest, many were radically opposed. These hateful documents did not represent all resistance, however, as many simply were averse to moving students outside their own neighborhoods.
This piece of "hate" mail appears to be from an African American elementary student, perhaps coached by his parents.
