In the 1971 WCHS yearbook, the students confronted the major issues of the past year head-on. Students courageously decided to reflect on the issues of desegregation and how it personally affected them. Rather than subscribe to the vitriol that had plagued the debate for years, the students took a positive approach and celebrated the year as one marked by progress and universal friendship.
